Andrew Groves is Professor of Fashion Design at the University of Westminster, London. He has educated a generation of designers who now work for companies including Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Burberry, Celine, Stone Island, Balenciaga, Loewe, Max Mara, Mulberry, Tom Ford, Kenzo, Balmain, Calvin Klein, Paul Smith, Maison Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Versace, Jacquemus, and JW Anderson.

Groves' pedagogic approach is centred on facilitating the formation of communities of practice that foster the cohabitation of students, tutors, and industry to facilitate the most transformative learning experiences possible. The most recent example is the Westminster Menswear Archive, which he founded, and is used daily by industry and students to inform their design practice. 

Andrew Groves contributes fashion writing and commentary to a variety of publications, including WWD, i-D, The Guardian, WWD, Le Monde, Nylon, The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, Vogue Business, The Face, Esquire, The Wall Street Journal, W Magazine, Teen Vogue, 1 Granary, and The Independent. Additionally, he has appeared on the BBC, ITV, Channel Four, and Radio Four to discuss various aspects of the fashion industry.
